Good times w/ my buddy Pete... :)

It had been entirely too long since my good buddy Pete and I got together to do some fishing. We tried many times to plan something over the past few months, but we just weren't able to put our schedules together. So, I can definitely say that I felt very fortunate that we were able to meet up last week for a couple days and nights of saltwater fishing in Delmarva.

Over the years Pete and I have spent countless hours chasing stripers together--starting way back in college. In fact, I think it would be no exaggeration at all to say that we have covered the vast majority of the East Coast at one point or another in search of linesides. So, whenever he and I get a chance to hit the water together... there is a good chance that stripers are on the menu.

Fortunately for us, we had great weather for our trip...And even better, the fish decided to play along this time as well. We did end up dodging some nasty waves on our 2nd night, but that just added to the fun.

I will spare you a lot of the details, but I should say that things started out as they often do--with Pete catching the majority of the fish, haha. I should also add that by the end of the trip I think I caught back up... ;)

All of our fish were caught on artificial lures... Most on plastic swimshads, but also one or two on a bucktail jigs. We didn't measure any of our fish, but we each had fish that were in the 35 to 36 inch range... Although I think Pete caught more keeper size fish than I did total.
Needless to say, it was an awesome trip... The fishing was really good, and it was even better to finally spend some much-needed time on the water with my good buddy. Thanks again, Pete!
Oh, and we caught a bunch of other species as well--not just stripers. I will include some in the pics.

I guess that is all for now... Until my next entry, thanks again for reading and best of luck to you on the water.
